HOW TO WASH YOUR SATIN HAIR ACCESSORIES

Just like clothes, your satin hair accessories are made of fabric and can be washed! Follow these tips to properly wash your hair accessories:

 

  1. WHAT YOU NEED

A washer/sink, mesh laundry bag (optional), drying rack, iron (optional) and gentle detergent

 

  1. MACHINE WASH

We recommend using a mesh laundry bag if you are going to machine wash your satin hair accessories. Avoid washing them with heavy items that have buttons or zippers!

 

  1. USE A GENTLE DETERGENT

When washing your satin hair accessories make sure you use a gentle detergent. Avoid using fabric softeners like bleach, as these can damage the satin fibers.

 

  1. GENTLE HAND WASH

Hand washing your satin accessories is one of the best and safest washing options.  Make sure to use cold or room temperature water.

Wash them separately from heavier fabrics to avoid damage. Always remember your colour groups and avoid mixing dark colours with light colours.

P.S some dark colours might bleed in the case of extreme washing – we promise the colours won’t fade

 

  1. HANG TO DRY

After washing, gently shake out your satin hair accessory and hang them to dry. Avoid using a dryer, as the heat can damage the satin fibers.

When will my order ship?

Orders are shipped after processing (2-4 Business days). In addition to an order confirmation email, we will send you a shipping confirmation email.

How can I track the status of my order?

Can I cancel my order?

Unfortunately we start processing your order as soon as it's placed. We are unable to cancel orders once they are made. if you made an error at checkout, please reach out to info@silkytosatin.co.za

Can I make changes to my order?

We are only able to make changes to your order before shipping. Once your order is awaiting courier collection , we are unable to make changes. However if you email us info@silkytosatin.co.za with your order number, one of our team will be able to advise the best next steps to take.

Do you offer free shipping?

Yes we offer free shipping. Please refer to our Shipping and Delivery page for more information.

My item arrived damaged, what should I do?

We’re so sorry to hear that your order has arrived damaged.

I have received the incorrect item, what should I do?
